Had to restore my site from a backup today. Some articles that were recently posted should really have gone into a forum, so while attempting to install a forum system for this site, I somehow killed the ability to post articles and comments. In the process of restoring a backup, I lost a couple of posts and a comment or two. Reviewing now.

Forum set up. Available from the menu bar. I’ll add a widget on the side somewhere sometime in the future.

Also, I’ll replace the posts I made this morning a little later on too. Apologies to those that commented on them.

As it turns out, the forum I originally tried to install from the wordpress plugin library, vastHTML, was the cause of the problem.  VastHTML have taken a copy of the original wp-forum, reskinned it, removed the original owner copyright form the source files, made a few tweaks to one or two of the functions, and are marketing it as their own application, giving no credit to the original author.

BTW, I went to the vasthtml site for answers after it crashed my site, and was informed a trojan is sitting there waiting to bite unsuspecting visitors, so unless your anti virus is up to date, i wouldn’t visit the site, hence no link.
