Right from earliest production days, Commer released a range of passenger service vehicles in addition to the truck range. Post World War II saw the introduction of the Commando bus / coach based on the heavier Q range, and on Feb 28 1948, the Avenger chassis was released.

Click the link above to check out some of these old classic housebuses. They certainly have some character and the look, well, just staunch. I think with a little bit of a loft job, it’d turn out quite nicely, though I’m not so sure there are that many left in NZ.
